 2024 Flyer

Welcome to the 11th season of Green Bay Youth Rugby.   Our goal is to help kids develop through the sport of rugby.  We do not focus on winning, we focus on:

Fun

Integrity

Leadership

Teamwork

Excellence

Respect

We have found that when we focus on developing kids, the winning comes naturally.

Our flag program is open to boys and girls that will be in Grade 1-9 in fall(currently in grades K-8).   We have expanded to 4 age groups that kids play in:

Age Groups

Grades 1-2(in fall 23)  Minis  Practice from 5:30-6:30

Grades 3-4(in fall 23)  Youngs Practice from 5:30 - 6:45

Grades 5-6(in fall 23)  Mids Practice from 6:30-7:45

Grades 7-9(in fall 23)  Olds Practice from 6:30-7:45

Location

We will offer practice on Wednesday nights in Bellevue at Willow Creek Park.

Tournaments

Tournaments are optional for all players. Attend as few or as many as you want.  New players are encouraged to attend.  These are NOT all star tournaments.  Teams are split up evenly and the intent is to have kids experience playing kids from other programs.   Due to the increased costs for tournaments, we will be collecting $5 per player at the tournaments to cover entrance fees.  There is also a one time cost of $20 for team socks and shorts.  If you have socks and shorts from previous years, you do not need to purchase again.  Everyone who attends tournaments will play.

Fees

Club fees are $60.   This includes the choice of a team ball or backpack, team t-shirt and water bottle.

There are scholarships available for financial need.

Equipment

The only equipment you need is a pair of cleats.  Any soccer or football cleat will work.  It is also recommended to bring water to each practice.   Team jerseys are provided for use in tournaments and can be purchased at the end of the season.
